CSU With Religious Symbols

Get Involved Part Two

The following events create spaces for the CSU community to practice belief inclusivity. We hope to model how our Principles of Community and commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) should intentionally include a persons’ spiritual, religious and secular identity. We hope you can stop by and experience this personally with us. All are welcome, regardless of belief-identity – including those who do not identify with a belief.

Meal of Gratitude

Annual Late Fall/Winter Event

We hope that you can join us once again as we gather together across traditions, faiths and beliefs, for delicious food and conversation. Every year our meal is completely kosher, consists of culturally-diverse meatless dishes over rice with vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options. We collect non-perishable foods for Rams Against Hunger. Any leftover food from our celebration will be donated to the Fort Collins Mission in Old Town.

These events are often co-hosted by CSU’s Multi-faith and Belief Student Council, CSU Hillel and Lutheran Campus Ministry, with generous support from Everyday Joe’s Coffeehouse, The Fort Collins Interfaith Council, Geller Center, and Coca-Cola.

Better Together Day

Annual Spring event in the LSC Plaza

“Better Together Day” is a celebration of pluralism, a chance to meet folks who have different religious and non-religious beliefs, and to support each other across lines of difference. This is a proselytization-free (preaching/pressure/conversion – free) event. The main focus of this event is positive engagement across belief differences. Together, let’s role model belief-inclusivity in the Plaza. Join us for conversation, creativity with “spiritual playdoh,” play with giant jenga, capture the moment with an interfaith and belief photo, enjoy a snack, coffee and lemonade, and much more.

“Better Together Day” has been celebrated here at CSU for the past 6 years, since 2016.
